Saudi Prince calls on Prime Minister

KATHMANDU: Visiting Saudi Arabian Crown Prince Al-Waleed Bin Talal called on Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal at the latter's residence, Baluwatar on Monday.

On the occasion, Prime Minister Nepal urged Saudi Prince Talal to open the Embassy of Saudi Arabia in Nepal which Prince Talal was positive about.

Prince Talal also informed that discussion to this end was held also with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sujata Koirala. He assured that he would make immediate efforts to set up an office of the councilor in Kathmandu, according to PM's Press Assistant, Suro Jung Pande.

They also discussed about setting up direct air service between Kathmandu and Saudi Arabia in the meeting. Talal also expressed commitment to establish air service first with the private company air service.

Similarly, Talal informed Prime Minister Nepal that he would set up a hotel in Kathmandu, depicting Nepal's art and culture.

He also expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for he was decorated with Mahaujjwal Rastradeep by Nepal Government.

Also present in the meeting were Finance Minister Surendra Pandey, Political Advisor to the Prime Minister Raghu Ji Pant and PM's Advisor on Foreign Affairs, Rajan Bhattarai.
