KATHMANDU: Police confiscated 155 kg of hashish from Hattiban of Chalnakhel VDC on the outskirts of Kathmandu on Wednesday.
Acting on a tip off, a team of security personnel from Metropolitan Police Range (MPR), Hanumandhoka had reached the Hattiban area at around 1:30 p.m. this afternoon. However, the suspected drug peddlers had fled the site leaving the contraband, informed SP Ramesh Kharel, the MPR in-charge.
The haul fetches about Rs one crore in international drug market.
