MORANG: Two inmates have died in Morang District Jail due to the lack of treatment on time on Monday.
The dead ones are Ram Bahadur Tamang, 60, of Darbesa VDC-7 and Rajak Miyan, 65, Diniya VDC-3, who have been in jail for the attempted murder case for long.
According to the jail administration, Miyan was a tuberculosis patient while Tamang affected with paralysis.
They breathed their last while being taken to the Koshi Zonal Hospital for treatment, informed Morang District Police Office. The hospital is 700 meters away from the jail.
It has been reported that the detainees in the Morang Jail die in the prison lacking necessary treatment on time.
