KATHMANDU: The Balgopaleswor temple at Ranipokhari has been opened since 6 am Monday.
It will remain open for the general public for two days this year as some Newar communities have decided to receive Bhatika tomorrow demonstrating their disagreement with the decision of Nepal Panchanga Nirnayak Committee for the date for Bhaitika.
The temple will remain open on Bhaitika every year for innumerable brothers, who do not have sisters, visit this temple and receive Bhaitika.
It is traditionally opened for only one day on the Bhaitika day.
