KATHMANDU: Saudi Arabian Prince Alwaleed bin Talal arrived on Saturday on a three-day personal visit to Nepal. He is accompanied by 37 aides and 12 crew members of his private jet. According to the Foreign Ministry, before holding consultations in Nepal, Prince Alwaleed will fly to Thimphu on Sunday morning. After he returns to Kathmandu, he will meet President Dr Ram Baran Yadav, Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sujata Koirala. He will also hold consultations with other ministers and business leaders on possible investment in Nepal. Prince Alwaleed is not only a successful businessman, he is also a philanthropist who 10 million US dollars to a relief programme for victims of the Twin Tower terrorist Attack in 2001. He also donated 18.5 million Sterling Pounds to Palestinian victims of Israeli attack in 2002. Likewise, he also assisted Tsunami victims in 2005 with around the same amount.
