NAC chief Kansakar admitted in Kathmandu Hospital

KATHMANDU: Executive Chairman of Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC), Sugat Ratna Kansakar, who was jailed on the charge of committing financial irregularities in course of the purchase of new aircraft, has been admitted to hospital for complaints of respiratory problem on Tuesday.

"Kansakar has been admitted to hospital due to chest problem", said a doctor at Kathmandu Hospital in Tripureswor.

Kansakar was sent to jail last Sunday when he failed to fulfill the Special Court's verdict to deposit bail of Rs 60 million.

Meanwhile, Newa Jagaran Manch and employees of the NAC demanded the immediate release of Kansakar claiming that he was framed in the case.

They had also staged demonstration in favour of Kansakar this afternoon.
