KATHMANDU: National Life Insurance Company Ltd (NLICL) has announced a pension scheme for general public.
This plan is open to all without restrictions. We offer plans to suit all our investors, said Bharat Basnet, GM and CEO of National Life Insurance Company Ltd. It offers up to eight per cent return annually on investments which are linked to the pension plan.
The minimum age to get enrolled in the plan is 20 years while the maximum age is sixty years. Insurance period on the other hand is for a minimum ten years while maximum is forty and the retirement age begins from 40 years on the minimum side and 70 years on the maximum.
We are applying all international standards to this plan, and are looking to provide people in Nepal same pension options as internationally, said Basnet. The pension plan looks to provide post-retirement income, flexibility to plan a retirement date as well as tax benefits.
