Thapa Magar, who is the world's tiniest man measuring just 0.67 m (2ft ½ in), has reached Italy where he will compete with other aspirants from across the world for the title of “world’s lightest man (in weight)” and “world’s tiniest legs and hands”, according to Khagendra Thapa Magar Foundation.

Khagendra Thapa Magar, born on October 14, 1992 in Baglung of Nepal, is the son of Rup Bahadur and Dhana Maya Thapa Magar.

Formerly the shortest teenager in the world, Magar took the title of shortest man from Edward Nino Hernandez when he turned 18 on October 14, 2010. Magar is a primordial dwarf.

The government has also appointed Thapa Magar the Goodwill Ambassador for the Nepal Tourism Year-2011.

Thapa Magar had flown to Italy on Friday after participating in a cultural programme organized by Nepali migrant workers in Doha of Qatar.

While in Doha, Thapa Magar was felicitated by Nepal Magar Federation. nepalnews.com
