UML fails to name ministers

KATHMANDU, March 17: Standing Committee meeting of the CPN-UML held at the party headquarters on Thursday morning failed to name new ministers from the party.

According to a Standing Committee member of the party, the meeting held to discuss about the expansion of cabinet could not take any decision as Standing Committee members remained adamant over their stance on the party’s ministerial candidates.


The meeting however, has decided to continue talks with the other political parties to bring them onboard the government.

The meeting formed five- member talk team under former Prime Minister and the party’s senior leader Madhav Kumar Nepal to hold dialogue with various other political parties´ including Nepali Congress and Madesh based party.

The other talk team members include KP Sharma Oli, Bamdev Gutam, Ashok Rai, and Ishwor Pokharel.
