Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) has hiked the prices of petrol and aviation fuel effective Sunday.
An NOC board meeting on Friday decided to hike the price of aviation fuel by Rs 10 per litre and another board meeting on Saturday decided to hike the price of petrol by Rs 9 per litre, according to NOC spokesperson Mukunda Dhungel.
After the hike, the price of petrol has reached Rs 97 per litre and that of aviation fuel has reached Rs 90 per litre. Earlier, the prices of petrol and aviation fuel were Rs 88 and 80 per litre respectively.
NOC said, it hiked the prices of petrol and aviation fuel due to the price hike and decrease in supply in the international market.
The prices of other petroleum products-diesel, kerosene and cooking gas - has not been hiked. nepalnews.com
