President Yadav to hold parleys with key Indian players next week

President Dr Ram Baran Yadav, who reached Kolkatta Thursday evening, will hold high-level talks with the Indian Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh and senior cabinet ministers next week.

According to the Indian external ministry, President Yadav is participating in the convocation ceremony of the then Calcutta Medical College from where he obtained his MBBS degree on Friday.

From there, the President is scheduled to pay a visit to Tirupati on January 30, after which he will fly to the Indian capital Delhi.

While in Delhi, the President will hold talks with his counterpart Pratibha Patil and attend a banquet hosted by her on Wednesday.

The ministry said that President Yadav will call on the Indian PM, chief of the Congress Party of India Sonia Gandhi, finance minister P Chidambaram and foreign minister SM Krishna before he leaves for Chandigadh to attend a function as a chief guest on February 4. nepalnews.com
