RSS

KATHMANDU: CPN-UML leader KP Sharma Oli has said that the new Government would be formed within the next week.

Speaking at an interaction organized by the National Solidarity for Peace and Progress here on Monday, he said, "Looking at the developments so far the country would get a government within the next week."

Instead of amending the parliamentary regulations, a change in the mentality of the leadership including that of the prime minister could give a political outlet to the country, he added.

On the occasion, he also urged the Maoist party to become committed to the peace process, constitution-writing, democracy and the prosperity of the nation instead of working to make the CA unsuccessful.

Nepali Congress leader Dr Ram Sharan Mahat said relation of Nepal with the United Nations would continue even following the exit of UNMIN.

Dr Mahat, who is also member of the Army Integration Special Committee, said the Committee would successfully conclude the peace process by fulfilling its responsibility of monitoring the cantonments and completing integration and rehabilitation works.

Presenting different working papers at the programme, Dr Surendra KC and Dr Ramesh Dhungel stressed the need for unity among all for the nation, nationality, democracy, durable peace and political stability.
