REPUBLICA

KATHMANDU, Jan 22: The wait is over for eager fans. Tickets for The Bryan Adams Live, the first ever international gig in Kathmandu, are now officially on sale. And judging by the enthusiasm of the crowd, it’s sure to sell like hot cakes!

Adams and his band members are being flown to Kathmandu by JPR Events in partnership with ODC Network. The concert is to take place at Kathmandu’s Dashrath Stadium on February 19.

Shital Singh, of JPR Events, shared, “The tickets are flying off the counter, and the response has been tremendous.” Singh recommends getting the tickets at the earliest, as the organizers will be stopping the sale two weeks prior to the concert date, February 19.

The tickets are exclusively available through branches of Manakamana Development Bank in Pokhara, at Durbar Marg, Kamal Pokhari, and New Road in Kathmandu. According to the spokesperson of the Bank, a separate counter has been set up for JPR/ODC Events where one can deposit money and purchase the tickets.

The price has been set at Rs 2,000, Rs 3,000 and Rs 6,000 for silver, gold and platinum seating zones respectively. The venue, Dashrath Stadium, is to accommodate around 25,000 music enthusiasts on the D-Day.

To counteract counterfeit issues, special tickets from India have been flown in. Singh revealed, “The tickets will bear special 3D hologram and bar code which will be readable only through laser lights and can’t be duplicated.”
