Dahal says his party will go all out for public service

KATHMANDU: Chairman of the Unified CPN (Maoist), Pushpa Kamal Dahal 'Prachanda' has said his party will now go all out for nationwide public service.

Addressing a training programme organised for the party's Newa, Tamsaling and Special State Committee members here on Monday, Dahal said, "We have not reached the people's doorsteps since we joined the peace process, but the time has come for reaching to the people from village to the state committee level along with fruitful campaigns".

The Special Central Bureau of the party organised the training that was attended by around 5,000 cadres.

Saying that his party will make optimum efforts at concluding the ongoing peace process and the constitution-making process, Dahal warned of launching the people's revolt with the mobilization of a large number of youths if they face any obstructions.

The Central Committee meeting of the party took place on January 5 had decided to hold nationwide internal political training from January 17 to 31.

However, party's Vice Chairman Baburam Bhattarai did not attend the training after he was not permitted to put his differing views, according to the party source.

Talking to media persons after the programme, party's Secretary CP Gajurel said the party will settle the issue through discussions after the completion of the training campaign.
