JANAKPUR, Sept 30: Chairman of CPN-UML Jhala Nath Khanal on Thursday said that the country would get a new prime minister as a Dashain present.
Khanal claimed that the country will get a new prime minister after forging national consensus within next two weeks.
"The prime minister´s election process being delayed for three months due to partisan interests has come to a change," he told media persons.
Khanal arrived in Janakpur to inaugurate 20th convention of the party´s sister organization All Nepal National Free Students´ Union (ANNFSU).
He said that since all political parties are trying to forge national consensus, the country is certain to get a new prime minister as Dashain present.
Khanal stressed the need to form consensus government in order to conclude the ongoing peace process and promulgate new constitution by May 28, 2011.
Replying to a query from journalists, Khanal said that no one should obstruct the voter registration process. He said that those who do not have citizenship certificates should go to district administration offices to acquire it.
