Monarchy will be restored at the earliest: Thapa

Chairman of pro-monarchist Rastriya Prajatantra Party Nepal (RPP-N), Kamal Thapa, Sunday claimed that monarchy will soon be restored in the country as the current political scenario is indicating the same.

Speaking to reporters in Biratnagar, the RPP-N chief said that the big three parties have been trying to institutionalise extremism and reactionary forces in the name of democratic practices.

Stating that the legislature Parliament has become less significant as it has failed to elect a new prime minister for the twelfth time, he felt the need of taking a new mandate to dissolve the current Constituent Assembly.

"The problem is created by incomplete and unclear peace agreement," Thapa said, "There is no alternative left but to dissolve the House."

RPP-N chairman Thapa also accused major political parties of making Nepal a failed state. "Now the country is their tripartite syndicate," he added.

He also sternly condemned the recent attack on Indian envoy to Nepal, Rakesh Sood, and termed it as a wrong action against a diplomat. nepalnews.com
