KATHMANDU: The health condition of former Prime Minister and only surviving founder leader of the Nepali Congress (NC), Krishna Prasad Bhattarai, is still in a very critical condition.
Leader Bhattarai is undergoing treatment in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) with External Ventilator Support System, informed Dr. Bharat Rawal, who has been involved in the treatment of former Prime Minister Bhattarai in Thapathali-based Norvic Hospital.
The digestive system has been already dysfunctional and oxygen is supplied to his body, Dr. Rawal further informed. 'Urinary system is also in a very weak condition. Medicine is given in keeping with the urine quantity and it takes 48 hours to work', he added.
There is a huge crowd of party leaders, cadres, well-wishers and media persons in the premises of Norvic hospital to acquire information about health details of veteran democratic leader Bhattarai.
He had been admitted to the hospital since last February 13 after complaints of cardiac, lungs and respiratory problems.
