Govt makes important appointments, transfers 10 secys

The government has appointed Jiba Nath Dhital as chairman of Nepal Stock Exchange (Nepse).

A meeting of the Council of Ministers held in Singha Durbar on Thursday also appointed Upendra Sharma and Binaya Karna as chairman of Citizen Investment Trust and chairman of management committee of Rural Housing Scheme respectively.

Meanwhile, the cabinet decided to transfer 10 secretaries, Minister for Physical Planning and Construction Hridayesh Tripathi informed media persons after the meeting.

Shankar Koirala has been transferred from industry ministry to Election Commission and Kishor Thapa from Election Commission to education ministry while Umakanth Jha has been moved from agriculture to industry ministry,

Likewise, Shankar Prasad Pandey has been shifted from education ministry to the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers. Pramod Karki has been shifted from culture ministry to Nepal Law Commission and Suresh Man Shrestha from Mid-western Regional Administrative Office to information and communications ministry.

Sushil Ghimire has been transferred from local development ministry to auditor general’s office and Nathu Chaudhary from information commission to agriculture ministry, Bishnu Prakash Pandit from Far-western Regional Administrative Office to water resources and energy ministry while Shital Babu Regmi has been transferred from water resources ministry to local development ministry,
