Two killed, 25 injured in road accidents

CHITWAN: Two persons killed and other 25 were injured in two separate incidents that took place on Saturday morning.

A person died and 25 other injured when a passenger-ferrying bus plunged into the Trishuli river from Satrakilo of Chitwan along the Mugling-Narayangarh road section.

Bus driver Bir Bahadur Lama died on the spot when the bus en route to Narayangarh from Besisahar of Lamjung plunged the river, according to District Police Office.

The injured in the incident are undergoing treatment in Bharatpur hospital.

Similarly, Hem Bahadur Lama, a local, died when a motorcycle hit a bicycle in Ratnanagar. Search for motorcyclist is on, said police office.

Meanwhile, loss worth Rs. 2.5 million is reported when fire engulfed a house in Narayangarh.

Drugs and drug manufacturing materials stored at the house of Chandra Prakash Neupane in Belchowk gutted in the fire, according to District Police Office. Reason behind the fire has not yet been found out, police informed.
