KATHMANDU: At least four persons were killed and six others injured when a jeep they were travelling in was swept away in the flood triggered by heavy rains on the outskirts of Kathmandu this evening.
Three died on the spot and one succumbed to injuries at a local health post after the jeep heading from Hetauda to Kathmandu was swept away by flooded Bishnu Khola at Dudechaur in Pharping area.
One of the deceased has been identified as Umesh Thapaliya of Hetauda.
Rains later this evening also submerged several parts of the Valley.
