KATHMANDU: Prime Life Insurance donated Rs 100,000 to Guru Sangbo Ama Samuha of Kobang VDC of Mustang to support their education, health and community development programmes. Marketing Manager Kamal Bahadur Pandey handed over the amount to chairperson of group Dil Kumari Gauchan.
Paddy festival on June 29
KATHMANDU: The government is celebrating Paddy Festival on June 29 (Asar 15) to boost up rice production in the context of continued reduction in productivity. According to Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, curre-nt rice production stands at 2,981 kg per hector, which is lowest of South Asian average. Nepal has only seven per cent growth in rice prod-uction in one decade.
