KATHMANDU, June 24: A Dornier aircraft operated by Tara Air was damaged at Simikot airport Friday morning after it skidded off the runway and lost balance while landing.
The 9N AGQ 228 aircraft carrying over two quintals of rice of Nepal Food Corporation from Nepalgunj to Humla met the accident at around 8 am.
All the three members of the crew were safe. Its left wing was damaged. The accident has been blamed on the runway´s poor maintenance.
